at San Jose State
February 3rd, 2007 was a great day for the SCUTS all-around, as the A-side men
won their first league game of the year against San Jose State. After a huge drive towards the try zone by junior Zach Peck, scrumhalf Salman Shariat scored and John Travis kicked for points, putting the SCUTS up 14-0. Scott Peterson scored again, and rookie sophomore forward Mike Ramirez followed Peterson with another try, his first. Sophomore forward Simon Root continued to add more points to the scoreboard, ending the first half with a score of 44-0.
In the second half, yet another rookie was able to score his first try of the year when freshman wing Marc Fuller was able to score on the weak side. Junior Mitch Ryan kicked for points. Mike Ramirez ended the game on a high note with his second try of the game. Senior John Travis was the highlight of the day by accumulating 19 points. It was an overwhelming victory for the SCUTS with a final score of 56-0.
