Santa Clara Men’s Rugby

The SCUTS will be participating in USA Rugby’s California 7’s tournament this weekend at St. Marys University.  The team has been working extremely hard and looks to represent SCU well in the next few days.  The SCUTS are in a pool with St. Marys, UC Davis, and the University of San Diego.  The team will have 3 games Saturday and Sunday’s matches will be determined by the team’s outcomes from the first day of the tournament.  Game times are listed below.

The SCUTS were one of 11 teams in the state of California to be invited to an all state 7’s tournament taking place the weekend of October 29 and 30.  Two Santa Clara alum, Rich Kelly and Mike Conn, will be preparing the team over the next month for this incredible opportunity!  The winner of this weekend tournament will represent Santa Clara and the state of California in the national 7’s tournament taking place in December.  The players are working hard and appreciate the continued support!

The SCUTS used the spring quarter to rest, recover from the past season, and begin preparations for this upcoming season.  Many have returned home for the summer where they will continue team workouts on their own, play rugby in their hometowns, and continue working towards getting better for next season!  The SCUTS appreciate your continued support as they are eager for this upcoming season.
